Always There
Style FramesThese style frames share the life of a young, carefree girl. The blue dangers around her disappear and are revealed to be her mother protecting her. Her mother’s comforting yellow aura shown in the umbrella and final picnic scene are used to contrast the cool blue that highlight the dangers around her. I use a sketchy childlike style, and a very limited color palette, to represent her childlike, unaware personality.

By blocking out rough silhouettes I was able to come up with her round design, and added details such as uneven pigtails to show her clumsy, carefree personality.
I sketched out different frames in multiple compositions to try and best capture the before and after of her facing these dangers in a still frame.
